Planning a Material Transfer Route

Planning a Material Transfer Route

Start with the Workpiece

Describe the steel, mould, machine or other workpiece being moved. Include weight, dimensions and how it will be placed on the equipment. Identify where the movement begins and ends and whether other production equipment is involved.

Map the Working Route

Show the travel route on a workshop or yard plan. Include the available floor area, rail arrangement where applicable and the locations used for loading and unloading. Existing equipment and access routes can affect the available space for a transfer cart or crane arrangement.

Explain Operating Conditions

Describe the operating frequency, environment, control preferences and available power supply. The electric transfer cart in the product range is intended for movement along workshop routes. The project configuration should be reviewed against the actual site and handling task.

Coordinate the Equipment

Discuss how the transfer equipment will work with cranes, production stations and storage areas. Share drawings and photographs of the existing arrangement. Wanlong can review the equipment requirements with you, and final scope is confirmed in the project proposal.
